Fundraisers with Unbound Booking!

In all of these blog posts on fundraising I neglected to mention one very important fact. Unbound Booking can help you plan a fundraiser for your library! Many Friends of the Library groups around the country raise money by having concerts and selling tickets. We have a number of fantastic bands listed on our website that are available for such an undertaking.

How to proceed: You, or the person organizing the fundraiser, should take a look at our calendar page http://www.unboundbooking.com/calendar and select your state. Browse through the groups that are already coming to your area and choose one that you think your patrons will enjoy. If you don't find anyone to your liking, browse through our artist catalog http://www.unboundbooking.com/artist We can always ask a performer if they are planning on, or willing to come your way later in the year.

The further in advance you plan your fundraiser, the more time you have to advertise, sell tickets and generally get the word out. It also means that your choice of artists may be broader. Many of our artists are happy to have shows as far as a year out to help them plan –their- schedules.

After you've selected your preferred artist, or artists, send us an email, or give us a call to get something on the schedule. Let us know that this is for a fundraiser! Our artist price for fundraisers is $300. That is the lowest price that we offer for performances.

We will send flyers for you to post at the library, and around town to help advertise the show and get the word out. We also send press releases to the major (and some local) newspapers in your area a few weeks before the show. Your library or Friends group is responsible for selling tickets. Anything above and beyond the $300 artist fee is yours to keep. As always, our artists cover their own travel and lodging costs, so you don’t have to worry about it.

Fundraiser ticket prices can range anywhere from $10 - $25. If you decide to sell tickets for $10/person then to break even you only have to sell 30 tickets, if you decided to sell tickets for $25/person you only have to sell 12 to break even. We are happy to consult with you to help find a price and an artist that is right for your population.
